Winter:

District Zell am See and Kaprun in region Salzburgland is sought for in winter season because of perfectly equipped resorts, either we speak of glacier Kitzsteinhorn which you can enjoy for whole ten months, or we speak of Schmittenhohe, or Maiskogel which serves its tourists mainly during winter season and it is suggested for families with children. A little further, within approximately 30 km (18 miles) round, you can find other considerable resorts of Austrian Alps, such as Kitzsbühel, Maria Alm, Salcbach-Hinterglem-Leogang, Weisse, Hochkönig, Rauris etc. If you want to relax, you can visit Tauern Spa-Kaprun, which is less than 2 km (1.4 mile) from resort Praga.

Summer:

Region Salzburgland offers many sport and restful events during the summer. For those more active, hundreds of kilometers of cycling paths and inline skating are prepared. Hikers can find the terrain prepared according to their level of intensity from the easiest to the most difficult. Bikers will come into their own by riding up the alpine route to Grossglockner. Good places to rest are gorge Zikmundklam, or Krimellwaserfale which are the highest waterfalls in central Europe.  You can also relax on one of the beaches of the lake Zellersee.
